TENSES: simple present tense, simple continous tense and past tense

TENSES

1.      SIMPLE PRESENT TENSE

Untuk menyatakan perbuatan yang berlangsung pada waktu sekarang, kebiasaan  atau suatu kebenaran yg tidak bisa di pungkiri.

A.    Habitual action

a.       Positive

-          They, we, I, you : verb I

-          He, she. It : verb I+ s/es

Example :

§  I study hurd

§  You always come late

§  He speaks English very well

§  I walk on the road

§  Everyone looks happy

§  She never judges me

§  She knows myfavorite food

b.      Negative

-          They, we, I, you : do not+ verb I

-          He, she it : does not + verb I

§  I do not study hurd

§  You does not come late

§  He does not speak English very well

§  Everyone does not looks happy

§  She does not judges me

§  She does know myfavorite food

c.       Question

-          Do+ they, we, I , you+ verb I

-          Does + he, she, it+ verb I

§  Do you study hurd?

§  Do you always come late?

§  Does he speaks English very well?

§  Does everyone looks happy?

§  Does she never judges you?

§  Does she knows yourfavorite food?

B.     General truth

Example :

-           the sun rises in the east

-          Cat is animal

-          Stone is solid

2.      SIMPLE PAST TENSE

Digunakan untuk menyatakan suatu perbuatan pada masa lampau

a.       Positive

They, we, I, you, she, he, it + verb 2

Example :

§  I studied English last night

§  You  cooked noodle 2 hour ago

§  They went to Palitungan mount 2 week ago.

§  He called his father a moment ago

§  Villy drew a house yesterday

§  Mother bought vegetables and fruits 2 days ago.

b.      Negative

They, we, I, you, she, he, it + did not+ verb I

Example

§  I did not study English last night

§  You did not cook noodle 2 hour ago

§  They did not go to palitungan mount 2 week ago

§  He did not call his father

§  Villy did not draw a house yesterday

§  Mother did not buy  vegetables and fruits 2 days ago

c.       Question

Did+ they, we, I, you, she, he, it + verb I

§  did you study English last night?

§  Did you cook noodle 2 hour ago?

3.      PRESENT CONTINOUS TENSE

Digunakan untuk menyatakan suatu perbuatan yang berlangsung pada waktu sekarang

I + am+ verb ing

They, we, you + are+ verb ing

He, she, it + is+ verb ing 

a. Positive

I + am+ verb ing

They, we, you + are+ verb ing

He, she, it + is+ verb ing 

§  I am writing latter now

§  I am reading medicine book

§  She is jogging in front of myhouse

§  They are singing a nice song

§  We are learning midwifery in STikes yasinda

§  He is listening radio.

b.      Negative

I + am not+ verb ing

They, we, you + are not + verb ing

He, she, it + is not + verb ing

§  I am not writing latter now

§  I am not reading medicine book

§  She is not jogging in front of myhouse

§  They are not singing a nice song

§  We are not  learning midwifery in STikes yasinda

§  He is not listening radio
